Description
Meet Roxy. A bit cheeky, a bit sultry - with curves in all the right places, handcrafted by the professionals of James Henry Ltd flooring and Rubio Monocoat New-Zealand.
The WOW Story
Roxy was designed to participate at The World of WearableArt competition, known as WOW. This renowned international design competition attracts hundreds of entries from all over the world.
She passed the pre-selection stage, but sadly didn't make the final. Originally she was called Rubio, but while making her they called her Roxanne, and towards the end - Roxy. The dress looks plain and simple on the front and bit more complex and daring at the back. The flower and the vines represent growth and re-growth.
“A slight departure from wooden floors, and something that occupied many evenings and weekends.... But would we enter again - yes, for sure, it's infectious.”
Red Beech timber for the dress, and recycled New-Zealand Rimu and recycled Jarrah for the bonnet. Finished with Rubio Monocoat Hybrid Wood Protector, colour Poppy.
